To understand the significance and intention behind
Mind Yr Life, it’s important to understand Dr. Sanz herself. Her lived experience and growing up with two brothers with Schizophrenia have made her the person and professional that she is today.
Dr. Sanz grew up in Madrid, Spain, and even as a very young person, she always had a strong sense of injustice. She wanted to grow up to be a teacher, like her mother, as she was always an inquisitive person who loved learning and sharing information.
As the 6th sibling of 8, her family was very underprivileged and with constantly busy parents, Luisa felt invisible. “I was one of many and never had a sense of individuality or even felt valued; it got even worse when my eldest brother got ill as this took over our lives” she said...

The conversation has begun, we're here to add credible information and actionable support right here, right now. We offer a greater understanding of the most common mental health challenges one may be faced with to normalize them and so dismantle stigma. We invite you to join the conversation.
We help those needing to uncover and let out the strength and potential already within themselves to first understand and second improve their current and future state of mind. This will empower them onto elevating their quality of life and guide them in the direction of meaning, fulfilment and purpose.
Through raw, real discussions about different experiences combined with the knowledge and understanding of mental health we normalize it and take a direct approach to dismantle stigma. That starts with getting to accept and love ourselves for who we are so we can then offer others the opportunity to do the same.
This ongoing conversation is aiming to raising awareness and so learning together that each of our own mental health troubles whilst being unique have many common aspects to those of many others. And by sharing these, we support each other and become empowered to be the best version of ourselves.
